First and foremost, LCS is where I was saved. We had a chapel service where Pastor Les was speaking; he gave a salvation call and I knew it was my time. Everything changed for me. I still remember going back to class and feeling like life had moved from black and white to technicolor. That was the most transformational moment here at the school and it set me on a path of following Jesus all my life.
If I didn't go to Lifegate I don't know where I would have been. It's kind of scary to think about. Having scripture constantly in my life, even when I didn't like it, set me on a good path. I work at a church and if I wouldn't have had the foundation of scripture coming here, I don't think I would have been able to follow through and have those values ingrained into my life. It's really come full circle for me; it's cool to see how those seeds that were planted back then are now starting to germinate.
The way of the world is easy; it's very tempting and slick. If Lifegate had not been a part of my life, I wouldn't have had that Christian worldview to see life through; that Biblical lens that would not have been there.
What a joy it was to have LCS and a Christian education as a foundation for my life. My education was really powerfully connected to what I was learning at home. I was able to hear the same truths that were being taught at home, at school each day.
When I think back to all my years at LCS, the first thing that comes to my mind is all of the teachers. I know that they cared deeply for me. They also believed in me and they taught me to be confident in myself. My teachers helped to give me a strong Christian foundation.
Lifegate Christian School has had a huge impact on the trajectory of my life. I attended college and have formed professional connections that are based off of relationships formed here at LCS. I've traveled the world thanks to friendships that were made in the classroom and on the basketball court. Truly, LCS has intertwined itself into every element of my life.
